ROAD MAINTENANCE UPDATE 7/23/19

Road maintenance work has been negotiated with Serio Contracting, and is scheduled to commence on July 30. All gravel roads within the Jette Meadows Phase 2 neighborhood will be included in the proposed contract. The proposed work will include grading, addition of gravel with recycled concrete, more grading, application of Magnesium Chloride, and final compaction. Thank you for being respectful and cautious when using the gravel roads during the maintenance process.

The recycled concrete should provide a material base that will last longer than gravel alone. The Magnesium Chloride is a soil stabilizer that will penetrate and bind the finer soil particles, and serve as a dust abatement treatment. This will hopefully produce a more solid road surface that will be more durable for the future. Signs will be posted alerting homeowners to the presence of heavy equipment and chemical application. The cost for this work, which includes all gravel roads in Phase 2, is about $1,000 more than last year’s work, which only covered a portion of our gravel roads. Please call Jim Doolittle (406) 207-0009, if you have questions or comments.
