🍂 A Note from the Board
Hello neighbors,
Fall is here! The air is crisp, the colors are changing, and we’re reminded why we love living in this beautiful valley. We hope you are enjoying the season and taking in the views as the larch, cottonwoods, and maples show off their autumn colors.
🎃 October Happenings
Fall Clean-Up – Saturday, November 1, at 10 am – Meet at third entrance of Jette Meadows – weather contingent (please check web site for any changes)
- Agenda – clean up frontage road bordering our community
- Bring – gloves, contractor garbage bags and an awesome attitude
- If weather proves an issue, we will post a notice on the website for a new scheduled date and time.
- For those of you who live along the highway and you still have a standing rail fence, please feel free to take it down.
- If this date does not work for your schedule, but you still want to volunteer some of your time, please send an email to the board and we can give you some ideas of things that can be done on your time.
👷♂️ Road Maintenance
Though late in the season, a vendor was secured for a last minute road maintenance of sections that are in most need. Email will be sent out with details. Information will also be available on our web site. The following sections will be addressed; Great Pine Hill from bottom of the road where pavement ends up to Nate’s driveway; Canyon View Road – from bottom of the road where pavement ends up to the intersection with South Rim.
- The Board will be discussing a more permanent road maintenance schedule for all roads this winter and a decision will be made prior to summer 2026
📧 Mail Boxes
Mail boxes at the third entrance are now available. If you are interested in using one, please stop by the USPS office in town to get it assigned and receive a key
🔥 Open Burn Season
Fall open burning runs October 1 – November 30. A burn permit is not required, and weather conditions must be favorable before burning. Please be mindful of wind, smoke drift, and fire safety at all times.
👉 Before lighting a burn, we strongly recommend checking local weather conditions by using the Windy app or another trusted forecast tool to ensure safe conditions.
Burn Safety Tips:
- Always keep water, a hose, or fire extinguisher nearby.
- Never leave a fire unattended.
- Clear vegetation and debris around your burn site.
- Avoid burning on windy days.
- Fully extinguish fires before leaving the area.
🦌 Living with Wildlife
Deer, turkeys, and even the occasional bear are active this time of year. Please:
- Keep garbage secure.
- Do not leave pet food outdoors.
- Drive slowly—especially at dusk and dawn.
🐕 Keeping Our Pets Safe
- We are still receiving complaints about unattended dogs barking excessively or chasing after vehicles. To maintain a safe and peaceful environment, please ensure your pets are not left unattended and are properly supervised at all times. (JMLA Covenants, Art VIII, Sec. 2, Sub. Sec. 5)
- What to do if your pet gets sprayed by a skunk 🦨
- Skunk Shampoo – always great idea to have on hand Nature’s Miracle
- Single use gloves for you
- Do NOT let your beloved pet inside unless you want your house to smell like skunk for a long time
- Do NOT wet the pet – apply skunk shampoo on the affected area and rub throughout; let sit for a couple minutes and rinse. Repeat if needed
- Alternative to the shampoo – 1 quart of 3% Hydrogen Peroxide, two tablespoons Dawn dish soap, and ¼ cup baking soda. Mix paste and rub throughout the affected area; let it sit for 5-10 minutes before rinsing. Repeat process as needed

Neighborhood Speed Limits
