Community Clean-Up Success!
A big thank you to everyone who came out for our Fall Community Clean-Up Day!
Neighbors came together to clean along the frontage road, removing a significant amount of discarded garbage and debris. The effort made a noticeable difference in both the appearance and safety of our entry area — a wonderful example of our community’s pride and cooperation.
It was great to see everyone catching up, helping one another, and sharing a few laughs along the way. Your volunteer spirit keeps our community beautiful and connected — we truly appreciate every helping hand that made the day such a success!

Saying Goodbye to the Old Entrance Signs
Many of you may have noticed that our original entrance signs have been removed. These signs have been a familiar part of our community’s landscape for many years, welcoming residents and guests alike. While it’s a little nostalgic to see them go, the structures had weathered beyond repair and needed to be retired.
Special thank you to Nathan Paul with Polson Home Services LLC, Derek Lemm with Flathead Designs LLC and Howard Farquhar for volunteering their equipment, time and expertise in removing the signs, and to Terri Bolin for sponsoring delicious donuts from the local bakery.
There are no immediate plans for replacement, but the board will revisit the topic in the future to explore signage options that fit our neighborhood’s style and character. For now, we’re grateful for the charm and history those old signs represented through the years.
Road Maintenance update
Lake County has patched up a few of the pavement holes along entrance four. They have also moved the “No County Maintenance” sign to just beyond the last upper driveway. This will allow for that neglected section of road to now be maintained by the County.
Sections of great Pine Hill and Canyon View Dr. were scraped and compacted by Just Dig It, LLC. The same vendor and others are working on a quotes for the summer maintenance.
Mail Boxes at First and Second Entrances
An additional mail box cluster will be installed at the second entrance. If you currently have a mail box at entrance one but live closer to entrance two, or vice versa, and would like a mail box closer to you, please contact Terri Bolin at jmlapolsonmt@gmail.com for a potential swap.
Access Montana
Access Montana is currently working in our area, and residents who are interested in cable internet, phone, or TV services can reach out to them directly for availability and options. If you’ve been considering upgrading or starting a new service, now is a great time to get in touch with their team. www.AccessMontana.com
Winter Preparedness: Ready for the Season!
As colder weather approaches, the board has been busy preparing for winter conditions. We’re pleased to share that a snow plow vendor, Polson Home Services, LLC has been secured to manage snow and ice on our gravel roads. The vendor will also be providing deicing and sanding service to steeper areas as needed. A few friendly reminders as winter sets in:
- Rake up leaves and pine needles near driveways and ditches — it helps reduce fire risk and keeps drainage flowing freely.
- Watch for icy patches in shaded or sloped areas; gravel surfaces can freeze unevenly.
- Keep garbage bins and personal items off the road edges so the plow can operate efficiently.
- Check your vehicles and outdoor faucets before freezing temperatures arrive.
Thank you for doing your part to help keep our neighborhood safe and ready for winter!
ANNOUNCEMENT!
North End of Meadow Road (Entrance 4)
Most of you have seen the “No County Maintenance” signs at the north end of Meadow Rd. Among other things, this means that there are no snow plowing services during winter. At the request of a concerned owner and with the blessing of Lake County and the current Board, this entrance will be closed for winter after the first plowable snow. Barricades will be put up at both ends as a deterrent. Please advise all drivers in your homes of this change.

November Notes & Neighborhood Tidbits
🍂 Did You Know?
Raking leaves and pine needles not only improves curb appeal — it prevents buildup that can smother grass and create fire hazards. A clear yard now means a healthier one come spring.
🦃 Thanksgiving ideas:
Start a new tradition – set out a jar and slips of paper so everyone can write what they’re thankful for. Read them aloud before dessert for a warm, memorable touch.
💡 Energy Saver:
Switching to LED holiday lights uses up to 80% less electricity — they shine brighter, last longer, and stay cooler to the touch.
